About Dr. Terry
Prior to becoming a counselor and interventionist Dr. Terry Ellis served as a pastor of six churches over a 34 year career as a minister.
He holds a doctorate in Greek, a Masters in Biblical Studies, and B.A. in psychology. He authored many books and articles, taught graduate level courses in seminary, and was a widely sought speaker on theological and biblical topics.
And he nearly lost his life to alcoholism.
How I Lost my Way and Forgot my Soul: Dr. Terry's Story
At age 53 during a time of great stress and depression, he began drinking and quickly became an alcoholic. Two years later he entered treatment, got well, and returned to ministry. Within two years he resigned as pastor and founded Chrysalis Interventions, which has helped thousands over ten years.
Dr. Ellis has years of experience stepping into the chaotic shadows of people’s lives to bring light, wisdom, and peace. He is a multi-certified interventionist, award winning counselor, and gifted speaker. Because of the generous donors to the Fully Alive Foundation he is now able to offer his services without cost.
